Seasons
Here we go, I’m all caffeined up- and blogging! We are pretty fired up about the new website, so give us a shout out and let us know what you think.
Hey are you tuned into the new season of ”American Idol”? It is season 8 in case you wondered. If you are an “AI” fanatic you are more than aware what season it is and who the odds on favorites are. This season has already made history and given us a lot to remember. As I reflect on my TV addiction, I realize that the movement of Jesus has seasons too! Often we fail to remember that God takes us through different seasons in the church. That said, we have a lot to be thankful for around Crossroads these days with all the life change that is taking place, and new faces everywhere!
There seems to be an added sense of energy and anticipation we all feel right now. For instance, I am blown away at how people are stepping up to serve, inviting people and connecting with each other!! All the credit goes to God of course, but it is pretty exciting to say the least. As I said recently at our vision nite, we are definitely in a growing season. I used to think that we should always be in a growing season as a church but I have come to understand that unrealistic thinking. Churches go through different seasons just like we do in our personal lives. There are growing seasons, and strengthening seasons, even stagnant seasons (fun! fun!). Often when God gives takes us through a season we can get excited and think its just going to continue, but what is more important is what we do as a result. If we don’t build up areas to support growth or enlist new volunteers to flex new ministry muscle, God may not see fit to continue to add to the church. Acts 2:47 ” and each day the Lord to their fellowship those who were being saved”. Since this is a growing season, we are endeavoring to “up our game” to add needed structure so we can support the growth God is giving us. I’m afraid if we don’t evaluate and act to match the way God is adding to our fellowship we’ll get stuck. I pray we (everyone that calls crossroads home) will do all we can to maximize this season God has given us.
If your a spiritual couch potato and have been just watching this season it’s time to get off your blessed assurance and get in the game! Jesus said “the night is coming when no one can work” Don’t let God turn the lights out on this season before you’ve done what you can! If we do the natural, God is going to do the SUPERNATURAL!
God’s Best,
Dave

Right on Dave! Growth is always a blessing from the Lord and we must always be dependent on him for his bounty, and his bounty is good indeed! Great message today too! We have enjoyed the whole series on relationships. It was filled with a lot of “Ah-Hah” moments for me, which means…my wife learned a lot! Yeah right, what I really mean is that I learned a lot and I’m thankful for all of God’s blessings.
Hey dave, I got a lot out of your messages too during the “love affair” series. I especially thought that the point, when you think a good thought about someone, tell them, is something I need to do more often. Thank you for being a great, supportive, and hard working husband and a wonderful father. I appreciate you more than you know. Love you!

The new website is awesome!
Pastor Dave, This new website is awesome!!!! I am a “older” newbe at this church, and was pleasantly surprised at this spirit filled place! Being young at heart, I am not ready for the rocking chair quite yet lol, so I love to come to church and feel sooo uplifted, and be able to worship, praise, and hear gods word.
I know when I go home, that I have heard god speaking to me through your message, and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Dave, and bless this awesome church!!
Love the new website! Wishing you guys all the best. I am hoping to come and visit soon. Good Luck!
Hey Dave, just wanted to say hi and that God has really been working on my heart these days. I am learning to take more things in stride and not to jump to finding fault in people. Coming to crossroads is so fulfilling but I finally am starting to understand about having a personal relationship with God. I didnt get it before, I love learning and this is awesome! Thanks for helping me get there, without your messages and the friends that I have made I wouldnt feel like this right now!!!!!!!!!!
Love the new website…great layout, and love the blogs, too. I am a big American Idol fan, and it’s neat to think of “seasons” more in depth in relation to the church. I can’t wait to figure out where God wants me to help/serve at Crossroads. Our family has been blessed by the Crossroads church family as well as your ability to preach from the Word, and Godly men to pastor our church. A big thanks to you, Pastor Dave, as well as Pastor Doug and Pastor Tom. God is good!!!

Coming to Crossroads -Dave has really made a difference in my life and it’s made me a stronger Christian. I have been through alot, but when i come and hear you preach the word it gives me strength and makes me realize i can go on in life. I have been truely blessed by your words. God is Good and greatly to be praised.
And your truly a man of God. Keep Preaching and may God bless you and your family. God has truly blessed you to preach the word and to capture people.
CROSSROADS ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the website. I am fairly new to Crossroads church. May have been there 5 or 6 times but, what keeps me coming back is Pastor Dave. I was there last Sunday and I actually had tears in my eyes at the end of the service I was so touched by his message. He is so great I can’t help but absorb his message. He really makes me stop and think about the purpose of my life here on earth which is to love others and to help other people in anyway that I possibly can. Pastor Dave, I love your Sunday services, I love the band and I love the people who I have met! I wish everyone would drop in one Sunday just to see the awesome experience of Crossroads church and hopefully they will enjoy it so much they decide to come back again just like I did. May God move in your church and bring in many new members!
